John Ingram’s primary responsibilities are managing and directing the firm’s research efforts. This includes overseeing the asset allocation framework as well as the proprietary research process. John describes his work as “constructing thoughtful, diversified portfolios that strive to build clients’ wealth over the long term. The key is to set the appropriate allocation that balances investment opportunities and risks with the needs and goals of each client. ”
Prior to joining Crestwood, John was a Portfolio Manager and member of the asset allocation committee at Choate Investment Advisors. As a Portfolio Manager, John was responsible for many of the firm’s largest and complex relationships. In addition, John played a key role in building a diversified asset allocation investment approach, providing quantitative backing for the firm’s process, and for making tactical allocation changes and investment manager recommendations. Prior to Choate, John worked for Excalibur Management in Boston and State Street Bank in Quincy.
John earned a BA in Economics from Saint Lawrence University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and Boston Security Analysts Society. John lives in Dedham with his three children. He coaches soccer for Dedham Youth Soccer and previously served on the board for Dedham Youth Soccer and Saint Paul’s Nursery School.
