This new position has been created to meet the demands of our growing business and we are selectively seeking a motivated, dynamic, and highly organized individual at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience to be a part of our team. The Staff Accountant will assist the firm by performing the following responsibilities:
Accounting functions
- AP functions such as:
- Assist Operations Manager & Office Manager in creating & maintaining vendors;
- Review, approve and process vendor payments;
- Review, approve and process employee expense reimbursements;
- Review, approve and process and reconcile American Express credit card payments;
- Collect and maintain tax information for the vendor database (1099);
- Record check receipts
- Perform monthly account reconciliations such as:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly revenue reconciliations;
- Preparation of monthly journal entries and cost allocations;
- Assist in monthly close process
Payroll & Benefit functions
- Prepare, process and reconcile payroll/benefits through multiple vendors such as ADP, Sentinel, etc.
Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of detail
- Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software a must
- Knowledge of expense software Certify or similar and how it works with Great Plains
- Knowledge of ADP payroll system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge in MS Word & Excel
- College degree required & at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience working with Fidelity & Schwab as custodians a plus
- Previous experience with Black Diamond a plus
