Staff Accountant

This new position has been created to meet the demands of our growing business and we are selectively seeking a motivated, dynamic, and highly organized individual at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience to be a part of our team. The Staff Accountant will assist the firm by performing the following responsibilities:

Accounting functions

  • AP functions such as:
    • Assist Operations Manager & Office Manager in creating & maintaining vendors;
    • Review, approve and process vendor payments;
    • Review, approve and process employee expense reimbursements;
    • Review, approve and process and reconcile American Express credit card payments;
    • Collect and maintain tax information for the vendor database (1099);
    • Record check receipts
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations such as:
    • Preparation of monthly and quarterly revenue reconciliations;
    • Preparation of monthly journal entries and cost allocations;
    • Assist in monthly close process

Payroll & Benefit functions

  • Prepare, process and reconcile payroll/benefits through multiple vendors such as ADP, Sentinel, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of detail
  • Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software a must
  • Knowledge of expense software Certify or similar and how it works with Great Plains
  • Knowledge of ADP payroll system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge in MS Word & Excel
  • College degree required & at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience working with Fidelity & Schwab as custodians a plus
  • Previous experience with Black Diamond a plus
