Morris are pleased to announce the formation of Crestwood Advisors LLC, a Boston-based SEC registered investment advisor. Mr. Eckton and Mr. Morris, both Principals of the new firm, founded Crestwood Advisors LLC to provide customized, comprehensive investment solutions to high net worth individuals, foundations and endowments. "We strongly believe that investors are seeking an independent provider who is able to effectively deliver comprehensive investment strategies and contemporary investment-related services," said Mr. Eckton. "Our goal is to provide critical investment solutions, using an appropriate mix of both proprietary and non-proprietary investment strategies, while wrapping it in a service model that will meet the most discriminating needs of today's investor." These additional investment-related services include family office functions such as facilitating bill-paying, check writing and debit cards as well as offering clients fiduciary services and financial planning. Mr. Morris adds, "We are results driven. We measure our firm's performance based on how well we have served our clients both quantitatively in their investment performance and qualitatively in simplifying their financial lives." Mr. Eckton & Mr. Morris, both formerly Managing Directors of Bingham Legg Advisers, LLC, a joint-venture owned by Bingham McCutchen LLP in Boston, MA and Legg Mason Inc. in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Eckton was Bingham Legg Adviser's Senior Portfolio Manager and was responsible for developing the firm's investment services and portfolio management team. Mr. Morris was responsible for developing and servicing client relationships with third-party referral sources including many accounting firms, insurance planners and law firms not affiliated with the parent companies.
